WALT: write a paragraph.

For this week our walt was to use standard place value to solve multiplication problems and we use beem to solve our problem. I use my time table and division to get the answer and that was so easy because I know my maths very well.  I’m really into getting to the next level to improve what I have done really well.  I have no idea what should I could know next.

Walt: find the information.

Osiris the gentle god ruled on the earth for many years.  When Osiris left, he allowed the wifes sister, Isis to rule a country called Egypt. Isis ruled Egypt for a short while Osiris veet the world to teach people farming skills.

His brother was so jealous and angry that Orisi was so popular and everyone liked him.  He had no choice but to kill Osiris. When Osiris got back Osiris brother killed him. Osiri brother put his body in an elaborate cedar coffin that so no one could notice and cased it into the nile River. The body was washed ashore at Byblos in Lebanon. Where a tamarisk tree was. Isis got so worried that she went looking for him.

Isis set out again to look for Orisi. Wherever she found a part of Orisi body, she would create a wax duplicate of his  parts. Isis presented the wax part to native priest and demanded. Isis had all the parts of Orisi and she tried to put him back together.  Isis used her magic to help of other gods.  To gather every part of Orisi body back together. He left earthly to his son, Horus.

1.  When is the best time to do things?

In my time I will play around the afternoon because the sun makes me happy and it will allowed you to have a lots of fun. Sometimes I bully people and that kind of fun.  

2.  Who is the most important person?

I am the most important one because I am the oldest and I should look after my family and that is my job.  I know that am the one because I can believe in myself.  The good thing in myself is that I love my family.

3.  What is the right thing to do?

Is to help my family when they need help.

My Island Paradise

Walt: write a creative story in paragraphs.

On my Island, there is only 1 person and that person is me.  I have a huge sea to surf on and have fun.  Sometimes I go on my boat   fishing to catch some delicious fish. The last time I ate fish was with tuna and bread and it was taste yummy.  

I would have a waterproof tv that I would cruise with, out in sea.  I would watch spongebob squarepants, and rugby, especially  the game between All Blacks and Australia. My tv will be the biggest flat screen ever. It will have the latest channels and would record me. !

But thats just a dream. If only dreams didn’t end.

My Reflections

This term, room 11 did three e-asttle tests to to help with what we have to learn next term.

For reading I did very bad because I was not reading and listening properly.  My level was around 2A and I was so disappointed with my result. All I have to do to improve is to listen and think before I continue.  I will have to learn to find and understand the main idea in the text and to understand and interpret what the author wrote and question the purpose and lots more.  I hope the next e-asttle test I will do what I should to get to my level and where I should be.

In Number and Measurement  I’ve done very well but I’m not where I should be.  In my overall score I got a 3B.  For my number sense and operation I got a 2P and my algebra  I got a 3P.  Measurement I got nothing for my result and that is not very good. My gaps are shapes. My strengths are  writing and solving comparison problems.   I need to learn to write and solve decimal problems.

Today I did my best in my geometry and statistics and I got a 3P and that is just good but I need more effort to get there where I should be. My strengths is  using the polygon symmetry/angle properties to solve practical problems.   I  need to learn is to make and explain patterns with translation/rotation/reflection and a lot more.

The next result for e-asttle and I know that I can do my best to learn and to listen.  I know what I should get to the level.

My Dice Ball.

Walt: make a toy.

My toy.

Today we are learning about mechanisms.  This is my toy and it is called the dice ball.  I called it a dice ball because my toy is kind of like a dice but has a ball stuck on it. The mechanisms on my toy is a fulcrum.  Making a dice ball isn’t that hard. I used a ruler, pencil, paint, scissor and hard card board.  First I had drawn 6 square on a hard card board.  Next I cut the 6 square and started painting then I stuck the 6 sides together shaped like a dice.  I chosed purple, pink, yellow, blue, green and black to paint my box. I made sure it’s dry before I stucked it together and left it for 10 minutes.I used a sticky tape to attach them together. After cutted one corner of the dice so the tennis ball can fit into the hole after that your done.Mr Hendrick’s our principal judged pur toys. He said it was challenge for him to decide the top three which were Mikayla, Matthew and Britney. It’s all about mechanism he told us all. Too bad for me but at least I finished.

I.C.T

Walt: use photoshop.

I.CT is part of technology and I’ll explain you what steps we followed in I.C.T.

1.  First download 8 images of your passions from google.

    Passions are things that you like to do.

2.  Next you go on photoshop then go to your files to get 1 image from your passions.

    We take 1 by 1 so it will easy for to work on.

3.  Next you have to copy the lock background so you colour it for the background.

    If you didn’t copy it, then you won’t colour it because it’s has a lock.

4.  After that, remember to turn your opacity to 80%.

    Opacity is like something to draw on the your image of passion.

5.  The fourth part is to layer and we only need 1 layer, colour the background.

    Layer are for your background so you can colour it.

6.  Then next you start painting the outline or the inside.

    Painting with your brush and it have to be the same color as your image of your passions.

7.  If your first image is finish, then next you can do the next image of your next passions.

8.  Last but not least, when you are finish just to remember to save it in your google drive.

When you are finish with the next 1 then do the other 1 of your passions.  Ict is not that hard but sometime your hands can get tired of painting and moving your mouse.
