Adverbs

Test
Grammar I am learning adverbs. I got 91.67% for this test.  To get 100%, I need to read carefully before I choose the correct answer. I think this was easy because I only got one wrong.  Maybe next time I’ll get 100%.  Next I still will like to learn more about verbs and adverbs.

Comprehension Test

Ress

This image shows my result for the comprehension test.  I have to say, this was a little bit easy because all you have to do is read the story a couple of times before you answer the questions.  As you can see I got 40 out of 50 so basically I got most of the questions right but one wrong. To get 50 out of 50, I should read the story again before I click the right answer.  I will like to do more activity like this.

Fraction Machine

Score

The game I was playing was called the Fraction Machine. This was hard for because when I try to click the answer the question change. My score was 6 out of 30 question. I believe that I should learn more of this activity.

Mental Machine

Ment

I am playing a game called mental machine.  This question was easy but the questions get even harder. To this question all I did was take away the 15 from 30 then that equals to 15, then add 24 which is equal to 39.  Next I will like to learn algebra.

Tooth Traditions around the world.

This is about different cultures have their own teeth tradition.
English and Aboriginals have the  common tooth traditions.  Both cultures believe in tooth fairy. .  Kids who are English or Aboriginals, put their tooth under the pillow at night time.  Next morning the tooth is gone and the lucky person will get a money.

Spanish kids also put their loose teeth under their pillow. This is really funny but did you know that Spanish kids believe in a little mouse name Ratoncito Perez. That is really weird for me because who will believe that a little mouse will exchange a tooth  for a lolly or money.

Afghanistan has no belief in tooth fairies. When a child  loses a tooth they throw it into a rat or mouse hole.  They do believe that the rats need it to make their teeth nice and strong.  To be honest, I think that’s a little bit crazy.

I had no idea but in Korea, children throw their teeth on top of their roof and sing a song that goes like this, “Blackbird, blackbird my old tooth I give to you. Bring me a new tooth”.  I really don’t believe in any of this because while you growing up, you know that you will have new teeth.

Basically, many culture use their tooth for a reason.  Like to exchange for money or lollies, or probably throw it onto the roof for a new adult teeth like some culture. According to web, most child might lose their primary teeth when they are 6, to have some space for the permanent teeth.

Punctuation Game

Walt: place the correct punctuation into the gaps in the sentence.

Graaaamaaar

For reading, I'm learning where to put punctuation marks.  To play this game, I had to choose the correct punctuation mark and hen click splat so that it will go onto the sentence given. Before I chose my punctuation mark, I had to read the sentence to understand it, then I’ll know which one to select. This was a little bit hard for me because really I didn't know which punctuation mark would go into the correct place. I should learn punctuation marks by placing them into the sentences correctly because honestly, I need more practise.

Fraction to Decimal

Fraction to Decimal

This is me playing fraction to decimal.  This is level 1 and I got a score of 9.  I choosen the fast mode, to play this level.  Their were 5 level and I start from level 1 but I didn’t get enough time to finished all levels.  For stage 1 it was really easy because it wasn’t that challenging.   If I played level five I’ll probably get confused because there will be a lot of confusing numbers. So honestly, I will like to learn more of the activity so I can get better and better.

Rounding Decimal

Demials.

Rounding decimals was hard for me because I didn’t understand the question.  When I first played the game I got all my answers wrong because to be honest I just guessed. As you can see, I got 8 out of 9 questions correct because I watched Autymn played and she got nearly all correct.  I asked her how did you get the answer right and she taught me the nearest one and I actually understand the game. Next I will like to learn about more rounding

This is me putting the marshmallow though the tooth pick.  The point was, Villiami, Ifa and I were making Ifa's grammar teeth.  We only use scissors instead of a knife because the scissors were much easier to cut with.  It took time to finish making a apple mouth with marshmallow teeth.

This is a screenshot of a game I’m learning.  This game is all about finding the correct verb.  If I keep on learning about verbs, I’ll be able to get my answers all right. Basically I guessed all my questions.  As you can see, my score was 35.  This was difficult for me because to be honest I don’t really know my verbs really well. To get to the next level I should able to practise and practise until I know my verbs.  So likely, I should learn more about this activity.

Drawing Conclusion

ResultsDrawing Conculation

For independent reading, I am learning about drawing conclusions. Drawing conclusions means that you have to to use the clue to find the hidden meaning in the story. This story was about Mary starting a new job and dan gave Mary a congratulation card. I had to answer 9 different question that is based on the story. Before I had to answer the questions, I read the story over and over. I was trying to find what was the clue in the story was about. I think this was easy because you have to find clues. If you don’t understand the story read it over and over again to get it in your mind. I would like to continue with this activity. For my result 7 out of 9.

We need mouthguard when playing sports

Walt: write a persuasive speech.

A mouthguard is a protective device to keep our teeth safe. A mouthguard is mandatory to sports.  So really you have no choice. Sports that will prevent damage to their teeth will really need a mouthguard.  Wearing a mouthguard is not just to protect your teeth, but also your lips, cheeks and your tongue.

Needing a mouth guard is very important because really you don’t want to lose your teeth. So if you were smart enough you will choose to wear a mouthguard, so nothing will damage the part of your teeth. The good thing is that it doesn’t cost a lot but if you go to the dentist it may cost around $200 or more.

The best time to wear mouthguard is when you play sports like hockey, softball, rugby, league, boxing and soccer.  All of these sport are related to hard out playing, which can cause an injury. People don’t always feel hurt, but they can have also have a sad feeling.

I strongly believe that mouthguard is a protective device so the best thing for kids safety, the school should add mouthguard to their list because teacher wouldn’t like to see anyone get hurt because its not their job to care.
